The vertical packaging machine for butter is an automated packaging device specifically designed for viscous and semi-solid foods such as butter, margarine, and cheese. It employs a "vertical bag-making" method, meaning that from the initial film roll, the machine directly completes a series of actions including bag making, filling, sealing, and cutting, ultimately outputting individually packaged finished products.

I. Working Principle

1. Bag Making: Rolls of packaging film (such as aluminum foil composite film or multi-layer composite film) are mounted on the machine. The film passes through a tensioning device and guide rollers and is drawn into the forming unit. The forming unit rolls the flat film into a cylindrical shape.

2. Longitudinal Sealing: The sides of the film are longitudinally sealed using a heat-sealing device, forming a continuous cylindrical bag.

3. Transverse Sealing and Cutting: A pair of transverse sealing jaws simultaneously heat-seal both ends of the cylindrical bag. The upper transverse seal serves as the top seal of the current bag, and the lower transverse seal serves as the bottom seal of the next bag. Simultaneously with the transverse sealing, a cutter separates the front and back bags between the two seals.

4. Filling: During the intervals between the horizontal sealing mechanism's movements, a measured amount of butter is injected into the bottom-sealed bags through the upper filling nozzle. A piston pump is typically used for filling, making it ideal for handling high-viscosity materials.

5. Output: After filling and top sealing, the bags are cut and fall into a conveyor belt or collection basket.

The entire process is precisely controlled by a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and servo system, achieving high-speed, continuous, automated production.
